1 Morning Meditation
Meditation in the morning can be a powerful tool for grounding yourself and setting a positive intention for the day. This practice helps you cultivate a sense of inner peace and resilience, which are essential for facing the day's tasks with confidence.

For me, there is no better path to start the day. Getting away from to-do's, watching thoughts pass by, avoiding judgment and focusing only on my breathing is the ideal way to perform better throughout the day. I don't have to think about the tasks or goals of the day; paradoxically, they adjust themselves if you give your mind a space of peace, stillness and reflection. The best discipline that I could recommend to any human being is meditation. It makes you a better person, you become more powerful.

2 Physical Exercise
Engaging in physical exercise each morning is not just beneficial for your health; it also boosts your mental well-being. Exercise releases endorphins, which have mood-lifting properties, and it can help alleviate stress. A morning workout, whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, or a gym session, energizes your body and sharpens your mind, preparing you to confidently meet the day's demands.

Additional to physical exercise, I find direct sunlight in my eyes (not too strong, of course) very important. It wakes you up, gives you a cortisol peak that gives you all the energy to get going in the right direction. (Note that cortisol is usually seen as a stress-hormone, but reality is that we all have a natural cortisol peak in our day. The earlier the better, as it helps you focus, and also sleep well in the evening when it lowers.)

3 Nutritious Breakfast
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. Fueling your body with a nutritious breakfast provides the energy you need to perform at your best. Eating foods rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats can improve concentration and stabilize blood sugar levels, ensuring you maintain a confident and focused demeanor throughout the morning.

A nutritious breakfast is essential for the proper performance not only of the body but of the mind as well. It amazes me to see so many people who don't have breakfast or, if they do, eat any amount of junk. Just think about this: in terms of caloric intake, a brain at rest is not the same as one with strong mental activity. Obviously the second burns more calories and requires larger amounts of glucose. If we do not have a proper breakfast, after so many hours of fasting overnight it is more than logical that your brain will go into great stress if it does not see notices that it will be fed soon. As coaches, if there is something that we do is exactly that: thinking. Don't do that to your body or your mind. Feed them well, please!

4 Goal Setting
Taking time each morning to set your goals for the day can be incredibly empowering. By writing down what you aim to achieve, you create a roadmap for your day that guides your actions and decisions. This clarity of purpose instills a sense of confidence as you know exactly what you need to focus on to make progress.

My day and week are definitely not as productive when I set clear tasks and goals. More specifically, speaking of what has helped me a lot is weekly planning. I tend to be more demanding with this planning than with the diary. There are times when I'm not at my best or when I don't feel the energy to do everything I should do during the day. If that's the case, I know I still have days left in which I can complete my goals. This more flexible way to achieve my goals on a weekly basis has helped me a lot on a personal level.

What's worked for my clients and myself best is planning the day and even week before.Definitely have an end of week goal and an end of day goal but make sure this is all planned in advance. But, these plans/goals must be something you really want to complete/achieve or you'll find a reason not to.To draw on a fitness analogy 🤔 Most people find that they maintain gym attendance/routines when they plan the next day to the point tgat they set out tge gym clothes/bag the day before. This also worked for me including having a end of week goal in terms of weight lifted or workouts completed.Doing this meant that being lazy didn't stop me from going to the gym as I wanted the reward so I did what the plan required to achieve it.

Affirmations alone do not work, you have to make a set of routines that clicks for you.For me it's gratitude journaling, with affirmations, visualization and EFT, yes tapping is something I experience results with. All of this sitting in the temple of my house, after offering my morning prayers. So make your own routine, make one you can follow.Make a longer and shorter one. But whatever you make, stick to it.Don't add too many things at once, get consistency in one and then add another.

I agree that positive affirmations channel your mind, although, in my experience, they do not compare to the power of meditation and visualization. However, I am convinced that they represent an excellent complement. When I feel less energetic or discouraged, positive affirmations like "you feel more energetic than yesterday" or "you are a very powerful man" magically help give me a boost of vitality or motivation.

Affirmations are great, but without action it's being delusional. Do your affirmations, and then make sure to take some concrete action in the right direction immediately. It intensifies the effect exponentially.

6 Visualization Techniques
Visualization is a technique where you imagine yourself successfully completing tasks and achieving goals. By vividly picturing positive outcomes, you can mentally rehearse for success, which can increase your confidence in your abilities. This mental practice can be particularly effective before important meetings or presentations, as it prepares your mind to perform with confidence.

Visualizations condition your mind to practice a goal as if it's real. The brain doesn't distinguish memories from imagination or reality. Therefore, you can build memories of your goals in your brain as if they were already real. When you do that, your brain acts and thinks as if you were already successful! You'll be able to foresee challenges ahead of time, proactively respond to situations, and take the necessary actions to succeed.I recommend visualizing daily first thing in the morning, or last thing in the evening.

Like meditation, I have found visualization to be especially beneficial. I am convinced that many of my achievements are linked to the visualization exercises that I have carried out, not only in terms of career but health as well.Make the effort: Starting the day with a good meditation session and then spending a few minutes visualizing what you want to achieve during the day and in the long term will change your life in a very positive way and you will see that it will be easier to reachyour goals.

Effective morning routines for fostering a confident mindset often involve physical activity, positive affirmations, and mindfulness practices. Start the day with a brisk walk, yoga, or a workout, which boosts endorphins and sets a positive tone for the day ahead. Taking time for reflection, such as journaling or meditation, helps to center the mind and cultivate gratitude and self-awareness. Engaging in affirmations or visualizations that reinforce self-confidence and success can further bolster your mindset. Additionally, prioritizing self-care activities like a nutritious breakfast and grooming routine can enhance overall well-being and confidence.

As Aristotle famously stated, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Effective morning routines to foster a confident mindset include meditation for centeredness, visualization to set positive intentions, recommitting to your purpose for motivation, and journaling for reflective thought clarity. Engage in physical exercise to boost mood and self-esteem, and read inspiring materials to fuel the mind. Practice fasting to enhance mental clarity, avoid morning technology to prevent overload, and review your daily plan for organization. Connecting with important people strengthens support networks. Consistently practicing these routines can profoundly influence your confidence and overall effectiveness.
